NBCRNA Media

The NBCRNA produces regular, timely communications to inform CRNAs, students, program administrators, CE vendors, other stakeholders, and the public about important developments and updates with regard to certification and recertification for nurse anesthetists.

The NBCRNA also periodically develops joint news releases with other organizations, such as the AANA, about collaborative developments. We provide support upon request to accredited providers to assist their efforts in communicating the value of certification. The NBCRNA also contributes to other publications that offer education and resources about Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).

New NBCRNA Live Remote Proctoring Provider

- May 18, 2022, 08:00 AM

Selected to Serve You Better

As part of our efforts to regularly improve the Continued Professional Certification (CPC) program and the Continued Professional Certification Assessment (CPCA), the NBCRNA has made the decision to switch our live remote proctoring assessment provider to Pearson OnVue. After careful evaluation and quality comparison of features and service, we are confident this change in vendors will provide CRNAs a more streamlined and enhanced assessment experience.

The application process for the CPCA remains unchanged; you will apply for the assessment through the NBCRNA Portal exactly as in the past. Once the application is approved, however, you’ll be redirected exclusively to Pearson where you will have the option to schedule your assessment either in-person at a testing center or online with remote proctoring.

As a reminder, CPCA windows are open in July and November 2022. Learn more about the CPCA here
