Online Certification Portal

On March 1, 2011 the NBCRNA introduced the new Online Certification Portal to allow students and Program Directors to apply and pay for exams electronically. Below are the instruction manuals for you and your students to successfully utilize the new system. Please review the instructions carefully and distribute as necessary.  Beginning January 1, 2012 all applications and payments for examinations must be made through the Online Certification Portal. New for 2012 NCE Candidates

Beginning January 2012, Program Directors may scan and attach PDFs of a student's official Transcript and Applicant ID Form directly to the student's application within the Online Certification Portal. Program Directors who attach these forms to the electronic NCE applications will no longer be required to mail supporting documentation to the NBCRNA.

While the NBCRNA encourages all programs to utilize this new functionality, a transition period has been established to accommodate​ gradual change.  In order to transition all programs into the new system, the NBCRNA will still require the program to apply and pay within the Online Certification Portal, but Program Directors may choose to mail the Transcript and Applicant ID Form for all students. Program Directors may select one method of application and must apply it to all students.  Beginning January 1, 2013 all programs will be required to apply and pay electronically.

The 2012 NBCRNA Certification forms, instructions, and handbooks are included in each of the areas below. As the NBCRNA moves to automation of the Certification Processes, you will notice that the Application Form for the NCE and the SEE Registration Form are no longer among the PDF forms for 2012. These functions are being performed solely online beginning January 2, 2012. Please read the instructions for completing the application process for the NCE and the registration process for the SEE in the Online Certification Portal materials posted above.
